Hip hop artist looking forward to album’s release – Chatham This Week
A Chatham hip hop singer has released a second single from an upcoming album.
Charlie Burgess, also known as L.C., has released the song and video Girl (It’s Alright, It’s Okay) from his album Best In The City, which he and his producer/manager James Browning hope to release in January.
The song and video can be accessed by visiting www.youtube.com/watch?v=kX4Zhh3fK7c
Singing has always been a passion for Burgess, who was born in London but raised in Chatham. A graduate of John McGregor Secondary School, he said he sang in church choirs at a young age and his songs provide an outlet for self-expression.
“I get it out there and it makes me feel better,” said Burgess.
Burgess writes the lyrics for the songs, while Browning mixes the music.
The album’s first single, SWAG, already has more than 5,000 views on You Tube.
Burgess’s live performances include the Canada D’EH celebration in Chatham as well as a show in Sarnia. He said he is hoping to do a live show in Chatham to coincide with the release of Best In The City.
