DJ Afterthought Live Radio Interview on INDIE 101.5 (HAMILTON) 28/11/12
DJ Afterthought during his video shoot for “Everytime I Look Around” while in Toronto (25/11/12)
While on his small tour in Canada, DJ Afterthought will be interview on INDIE 101.5 in HAMILTON on their weekly hip hop show tomorrow (Wednesday, November 28th). Later that night he will be heading Urban Night At The L-Lounge @ 137 Ontario St N, Kitchener, Ontario.
Playasville Release First Single
The first EVER single from Playasville titled “Know About Me” from their upcoming debut album. Playasville consists of Charlie Burgess and James Browning. Charlie lays out the raps/vocals, while James produces the music. The new album is just about done and will be completely produced by James and will include no samples. Special features from the Playasville ENT crew include DJ Afterthought and Shneequa Davis. Look for the album to be release around the same time as the upcoming documentary on Charlie Burgess called “The Making Of Chuck B“, which will be airing soon on TVCogeco and online. The Making Of Chuck B To Debut On TVCogeco
“The Making Of Chuck B” will make it’s Television début courtesy of TVCogeco Chatham. No date has yet been set but will be released soon. A BIG thank you to Zach Lawton & Peter Martin for allowing us to début the film and for the constant support over the past few years. Charlie performed in TVCogeco’s Step Up To The Mic the past two summers. Check out some video from the Studio Taping below!
To coincide with the on-line release (which will come after the TV debut), we are releasing a FREE small documentary soundtrack which will be available on-line for download. Hard copies will also be available free of Charge at all our upcoming shows.
EMT Will Be Releasing “Blaq Thought” The Mixtape in December!
Dj Afterthought and Vinny Blaq will be releasing a new mixtape in December titled “Blaq Thought”. I have heard several tracks from the mixtape and I’m totally excited and amazed with the chemistry between the two . They have asked me to produce a few tracks, be sure to look for that! With the help of Playasville Entertainment, Chatham Hip Hip Singer Charlie Burgess the self-proclaimed “Best In the City”, has had his busiest, and most demanding year as an upcoming Indie Artist. Charlie 27, started music career early performing as a kid in his church choir. With the release of his debut album earlier this year, The Making of Chuck B documents his past summer in order of each event. Beginning with Charlie experiencing his first live radio interview (June 22nd,2012), watch as Charlie and Playasville Entertainment meets Pittsburgh Artist DJ Afterthought in Toronto and shoot a music video for his album “Rhythm and Vibes”.
