New Playasville Mixtape In The Works, Debut Album Also On It’s Way

First off, let me begin with explaining the difference between “Playasville” and “Playasville Entertainment”.  Playasville is our hip hop group consisting of myself (James Browning) and rapper/singer Charlie Burgess. Playasville Entertainment is our company name which handles artist’s management, video, graphic design, instrumentals, social media management, vocal recording, photography and more.

The past year I have not only been busy managing Charlie (Burgess), but I have also been busy working on new beats and instrumentals for our new Playasville mixtape and also our debut album. The mixtape will be completely produced by myself and we hope to have some new faces and some old ones. Charlie and I are still looking for people interested being featured on it. Just hit us up at http://facebook.com/Playasville

Earlier I mentioned us working on our debut Playasville album. Beats/instrumentals have already been chosen and will contain 16 new tracks, all produced by myself. No samples. 100% from my head like it should be. Charlie has already started to record and the work he’s given me,  meet’s and if not passes the material he gave us on his album “Best In The City”.  We hope to have some classic tracks on this album, so please be patient. This will be unlike anything you’ve heard in CK. But don’t expect to hear anything before 2013!

At the end of the day, we have the next year planned out when it comes to music releases. The future looks brighter then ever. Charlie will also be releasing a album in 2013 but I will have more details in a future post. Take Care.

Feature Friday #10 – Cerebral Cuts (@CerebralCuts)

Its Friday, It’s Friday… meaning we have another “Feature Friday”. This week we have a upcoming producer by the name of Cerebral Cuts. This is our first entry being featured from overseas, all the way in London, England. Cerebral’s video for “ECHO CITY” is off his self-titled EP. The video is cool mix of video slowed, speed up, fast forwarded, re-round and timed up with the instrumental perfectly done by his production company. Hope you enjoy his work and be sure to check the video out!

Lights Plays Chatham Capitol Theatre (Photos)

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Here are some pictures from Lights performance last night at The Capitol Theatre in Chatham. Charlie (Burgess) and I were invited to a meet and greet with the Juno Award Winner before she took the stage. I filmed Charlie meeting Lights as she gave him some advice. Look for this in and upcoming project we will release at the summers end. Nightbox opened the night and they definitely surprised a lot of people. I enjoyed them tremendously. Lights was fantastic! She and her band put on one incredible live show. I recommend everyone to check it out. Charlie and I have Lesley Grand & Nicole Fricot to thank for allowing us to meet Lights. We had an incredible night. Thank you Culture Factory for bring such a talented musician to Chatham. I have plenty of video for everyone to watch in the coming days.
